Description

What is a kilim? Unlike carpet which it has long-short hairy and knotted surface, the kilim has a flat surface resulting from its weaving through the technique of the tapestries which gives rise to a kind of thick cloth. Because it is made with wool, cotton or even goat hair, the kilim is not only lighter when it is carried from one place to another; but also it allows for various purposes such as housing divisions, blankets …. Its form of fabric prevents the sand embedding in its structure.
